Lavender Festival Sequin WA July 2017

                                July 2017
While at the Escapees Coho Evergreen RV Park in Chimacum  Washington we went to the lavender festival in Squirm . Linda's favorite flower. She totally enjoyed the festival. We visited about 8 farms. Hannah was a big hit with some of the visitors and one of the farm owners  gave Hannah a bouquet of fresh cut lavender via Linda. We also purchased some fresh picked (just unloading a tractor pulling  a farm wagon) blackberries and raspberries..  Downtown had a street fair with everything lavender  and lots of food stands along with some entertainment. We had a just ok gyro, not like some of the ones we get at home in PA. Sometimes you just get spoiled.

11 lavender farms on the schedule, we didn't make them all.

Linda in her glory

Just image the aroma when the wind blows

Who invited him?

So many how would you ever decide what you want ? Linda couldn't.

A few more old barns

These old trucks keep calling out to me

So tired the grass felt good. Downtown craft fair

Crab fishermen or crabbers, bringing in their catch

Thought this 0nly happens in Florida

7 Cedars Casino. They have advertised free overnight parking for RVer's

Leaving you with just one more mural

After 8 years Linda finally made it to the Lavender festival. Last time we were a week late. We also met a couple from our RV park and a couple from a town near our home town in Bethlehem,Pa.

Thanks for following along. nearing the end of 2017 and I am only in July in my blogging, I hope I can catch up.

. Escapees Coho Evergreen RV Park, Chimacum WA, July 2017

Name; Escapees Coho RV park, Chimacum WA

Date; July 2017

Staff; very friendly like we found at all the Escapees parks.

Price; around $28

Site; just a gravel parking lot with water and electric, close together. There are some FHU's, but they were all taken. The sites were on grass and gravel,  also close together. There are some sites available throughout the park that are in a rental pool for monthly or longer stays. They are very nice.   There is also a dry camping area. I believe it is $5 per night, limited to I believe 5 nights. Use of super clean restrooms and dump.

Big rig friendly; yes a lot of  maneuvering room.

Amenities; very friendly folks that live here either full time or seasonally. Many park model homes. Many activities. A 55 or older community.  No pool or playground.

Laundry; Yes a  great sign up system. Washer $1.25, dryer .75.

Dog Friendly; Yes. a large fenced in dog park

Phone/TV/Wi-Fi; no OTA TV, good Verizon phone and our Mifi worked well. Slow park Wi-Fi.

Night not much lighting. Very quiet.

Book exchange; small library.

Bonus; close to Olympic National Park, Eastern side . Close to Port Townsend and the city of Sequin  Close to the ferry to Seattle, Vancouver Island and the city of Victoria, and the San Juan Islands.  Close to great restaurants. Great fishing and crabbing. Great summer location. But best of all is a great camping lifestyle. Also near Fort Warton State Park and beach. Just a lot to do, can't remember it all.

Opinion; Great please to stay in a great location.

Comments; You can see the pride of ownership in this park. While there I checked on buying a lot and found out there is  a year and half waiting list. The is a great location just outside the town of Port Townsend. So much to do in the area. Only thing it is a long distance from Florida our winter home. Again I'll say it, you can see the pride in ownership.

Sorry for so few pictures for a place we think so highly about. Somewhere we loss a lot of photo's.
