Let me start by saying this is one of the best RV Resorts we ever stay at.
Name of Park; Shenandoah Crossing, a Bluegreen Vacation Club(a time share). I believe this is their only RV Resort, they do have many time share resorts. Address is
174 Horseshoe Circle
Gordensville VA 22942
Date of stay;7/22-7/29/12
Staff/owner;All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Price; This is a Coast to Coast member resort. For members the coast is $10 to $50. $10 in a regular RV site, $15 a back in elite site, $20 a pull-thru elite site and $50 presidential site with a hot tub. I was told that for non-members of CTC it was from $89. on up, but didn't confirm this.
This is our site, the stainless steel grill had all the utensils for grilling. The umbrella was replaced while we were there, and they are assembling new tables and chairs. This site is $20. a night.
Note the hanging lantern, they are electric and light at night. One at each site.
This is the presidential site, with a hot tub and a fire pit with additional seating.
This is a typical back in site for $15. a night with Coast to Coast.
Site Description; We had a pull-thru site with 50 amp electric. I let the pictures tell the rest.
Amenities; a 1000 acres, 4 + pools, a very busy and a full activities schedule, horse back riding, a 60 acre lake with boat rentals, 3 or 4 star restaurant, snack bar, store, fitness center, movie rentals, golf coarse, this is just some of the amenities there. Very clean private rest rooms and showers. There are lockers at the pool area, and they provide towels for your use at the pools.
Laundry;Several very clean free laundries.
Phone/wi-fi/TV;Verizon was 2 to 3 bars, and we did experience several dropped calls. Wifi was poor in our site, but super in other sites. Cable TV was about 40 channels our reception was fair to good.
Dog Friendly;Acres to walk a dog.
Night;Very quite and excellent low lighting by each site.
Book exchange;Didn't find one
Comments and Opinions; As I stated with the opening line, this is one of the best RV resorts we ever stayed at in over 40+ years of rv'ing. This is a super RESORT. There is so much to do here, we hope to get back soon. Coast To Coast members with big rigs avoid the $10 a night RV sites and go for the $15-$20 sites. The nearest big grocery store is about 9-10 miles. The resort is about 15 miles off I64, and about 7 miles off US RT 15. There is a great barbecue restaurant about 7 miles from the resort called "The Barbecue Exchange", unfortunately we found on our last day and only enjoyed it once. This is the type RV Resort we will drive a little out of our way to stay at. See our post "We visited 3 Presidents homes" for thing to do in the area.
Some of the horse on site. They have horse back riding and horse drawn buggy rides.
The back of the Inn showing the outdoor deck were you can have lunch overlooking the lake and country side.
This is such a beautiful resort. One of the few I've seen offering outdoor kitchens and Hot Tubs! Looks like it's a fun place to stay with horseback riding and a large pool area.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your photos and review. I'm adding Shenandoah Crossing to our list to visit in VA!
