Tigers and Lions and cars

Tigers, Lions and cars?

That sure doesn’t seem to go together.  Read on and maybe you’ll get the jest of this post. Hi everybody, it’s been awhile. We will start blogging more frequently when wecan  get on the road for longer trips. We have done some small trips, but not traveling for months at a time. We still need to take care of a few medical issues. We did do a 60 mile trip to meet friends in the Orlando FL area. It is great meeting up with friends. We stayed at Lake Magic an Encore Park using our Thousand Trails membership. Loading and unloading the RV is sure different then living in it full time. OH how we miss that life style, all though we are adapting to our new life style. But with all the health problems we had it was a good move buying a home base. We had planned to be on the road for at least 6 months starting in the middle of February but now we are not sure when and for how long we can do a long trip. Our first long trip will be to go back to Pennsylvania to see our kids and their wives.

We have been doing a few fun things in the area.  One was a wild game dinner in our development. Some of the meats served were moose served three ways,  pheasant, alligator, squirrel, venison served five ways,  shark served two ways, redfish and wild boar. I may have missed something. But it was a wonderful experience tasting all the different meats.

We also attended a senior expo at the Brevard Zoo. Every senior in a 50 mile radius must have attended.  Just say “free”, “early bird”, or “buffet” and we will show up. All in all it was a fun day. At times it did smell like we were at the Ben Gay factory.

In December we did do another cruise. This time out of Port Canaveral about 20 minutes from our home. We also toured the Kennedy Space Center. I Bob attended a Museum Car Auction.  What a fantastic experience being there in person, not just watching it on TV.  Plus we did a few other small things like seeing “American Sniper”, our pick for the best picture Academy Award, plus a few other good movies like “Gone Girl”.  We did not see all the movies nominated.
But the most trilling thing we did was get up close to Tigers and Lions. I mean up-close, really up-close.  You could smell their breath. Here are a few pictures to wet your appetite.

This photo is not zoomed in. We are just on the other side of the wire. Isn't he beautiful. Look at the size of his paws.

This is one of my favorites.

Hopefully in the near future I'll upload more photo's.
