Back in PA

We arrived in Gettysburg PA on 7/29/12. We had a truck and car inspection schedule for the 30th and the the 31st. I(Bob) have a super painful toothache. Long story but resulted in a trip to  Hellertown to our Dentist. The trip was about 120 miles one way.  Part one of a "root canal". We did get to see our kids and their wives, which made the trip worthwhile. Back to the inspections, super service with super customer service. If ever in York PA and need some car or truck service check out Fadely's. We also had a inspection for our RV scheduled for the for the 10th at Schafer in Shoemockersville. So we left Gettysburg Farm, a Outdoor World/Thousand/Trails  RV Park a couple of days early. All inspections went well. On the 10th after the RV inspection we went to Pine Hill RV Park in Kutztown for 2 nights. Our friends Dave and Liz summer there, and we reconnected with them. We saw them last at their home in Largo FL. On Sunday the 12th we went to Outdoor World/Thousand Trails Timonthy Lake RV Park in the Pocono's. We will be here for a month. Then we will be going to Thousand Trails in Hershey PA for two weeks. Then to Outdoor world/Thousand Trails Circle M in Lancaster/Millersville PA for Two weeks. At least that is the plan for now.
While in Gettysburg area we visited with rv'ing friends ED and Vivian. They invited us to dinner at their home. At the wonderful dinner were other rv'ing friends Lon and Betty. We talked about our time together in FL over the passed two years and future planes. Then we had a lively discussions on solving all the problems of the world. It was a super time with good friends.

We also took a trip to visit Linda's brother. It was about 50 miles one way. On the way we stoped for lunch at a super new dinner in Honey Brook. We did see them erecting the dinner last August/September. See the photo's and story. I(Bob) had a super Mac and Cheese Burger. It was great. Linda had a "Crabby Sandwich" which was also super. We will return in the future when we  visits  Linda's brother.

While in Gettysburg we did tour the Gettysburg National Military Park. We purchased a 2 CD driving tour. The tour was great. We spent the whole day here, visiting the museum and doing the driving tour. The restored Cyclorama Painting was fabulous. you felt as you could walk right through the battlefield with all the soldiers. We had hope to get back to visit the Eisenhower Farm which leaves from here, but it didn't work out for us. A reason to return.  See www.gettysburgfoundation.org and
www.nps.gov/gett Linda did take at least a100  photo's. They are mostly of monuments. She did some great photo's in the Cyclorama Painting.

We tried to pick out a few of the better pictures.

There are many tours, this one is a unique old bus
