Accident

We are jumping ahead on our blogs to give an update on out accident. While traveling through Indianapolis I was in a fender bender. I was hit on the passengers side of the truck while towing our RV. Lucky the RV was missed. The damage was over $3000. We have made arrangements to get the truck fixed in Middlebury in IN. So we will be in this area a little longer. To answer friends emails that drive  Fords and Dodges and have teased me about changing brands, all I can say is I am glad I was in a Chevy or they would still be picking up the pieces of those other makes. LOL The tape is to hold the tail light in place, as the tabs holding it were cracked and we had about another 150 miles to travel for our appointment 7:30 the next morning. I didn't want to take a chance of it possibly falling out. The two insurance companies are fighting it out to see who will pay. There were no charges filed. Linda following me saw the other driver hit the curve and bounce off it into the side of the truck. I saw him in my mirrors swerve, but I didn't know why. He was coming very fast. So we'll see what happens.

I know it doesn't look like $3000. + in damages, but here it is. It will be a lot more if they have to take off the bed of the truck, but they are hoping that they can get the fender off without doing that. There is more buckling then you can see in the photo's.

  1. Oh no! What a setback. I'm happy no one was hurt and that your home (5er) is okay. Another one of those "You just never know what will happen" moments.
